Reduce your energy costs by ~10% with an Energy Audit.
An energy audit is the starting point to improve your energy efficiency and uncover potential cost savings.

We undertake a thorough assessment of your facility, looking at how much energy you're using and where it might be wasted.

The goal is to find ways to make your facility more energy-efficient, which can save you money and reduce your carbon footprint.

We reduce your energy costs by:

  • Analysing your current usage: We provide a comprehensive overview of your business’s energy consumption, including how and where energy is being used.

  • Spotting the inefficiencies: Identifying key areas where energy is being wasted, with explanations of how these inefficiencies affect your overall energy use.

  • Giving you the numbers: A breakdown of the costs associated with each recommended action, along with the expected return on investment (ROI) and payback period. This helps you prioritise improvements based on your budget and financial goals.

What are the benefits of conducting an energy audit?

Reduce your energy costs

For most businesses, energy is a major expense. An energy audit helps you identify where energy is being wasted, so you can make targeted changes that reduce your energy use. Whether it’s upgrading lighting systems, improving insultation, or optimising HVAC systems, the associated cost savings can be substantial.

Shrink your footprint

Reducing energy waste means you're also reducing your consumption of energy and reducing associated
carbon emissions.

Improved your operational efficiency

An energy audit doesn’t just cut costs, it can also streamline operations. By ensuring your energy systems are working at peak efficiency, you reduce downtime and potentially extend the lifespan of your equipment.

Next Steps:

Once your energy audit has been completed, it’s time to take action. Some improvements, like adjusting lighting schedules or performing routine maintenance, can be implemented quickly and easily. Others, such as upgrading equipment or installing new systems, may require a larger investment but offer significant long-term savings.

Lumen can support you with project delivery, providing as much or as little support as you need.

You may also be eligible for government funding for certain energy efficiency upgrades, further enhancing the financial benefits of taking action. We can help you determine your eligibility for funding.

Why us?

The Energy and Carbon team at Lumen is a well-established and highly respected engineering team with 20 years’ experience delivering high quality projects with verified results.

Since 2004, we have carried out over 250 energy audits to AS/NZS 3598:2014 identifying a 14% reduction in annual energy costs on average saving our clients over $40,000,000 per year.

Although every site is different, we aim to find ~10% energy cost savings from opportunities with 2–4 year paybacks (return on investments of 25-50% p.a.).
